an extended about me/manifesto
i'm an artist, writer, creative, whatever. i like to do a lot of things but i mostly draw.
i love looking at art and making it. what i mean by 'art' in this context isn't just drawings-i mean anything creatively made by a person. i love listening to music, i love reading books, i love watching movies, i love playing videogames and seeing several of those things come together in one package. i like looking at old things and older technology. i like to go outside and i like animatronics. my main fursonas are 'checkers' (left) and 'manzana', though the latter is less of a sona nowadays and more of a separated character that i just so happen to use to represent me sometimes.
i've been actively drawing and posting online since about 2016. i've always loved drawing animals and animal-people, so a lot of my work consists of that. i've also always loved writing fantasy stories, but as i've grown older i've branched out from the typical fantasy genre and just kind of write about whatever. a lot of things i draw can be considered 'furry'.
i used to want to be an animator, and used to primarily animate. at the time it was mostly animation memes because i was a young teenager. in high school i wanted to make my own production studio someday. at some point, i read BEASTARS by Paru Itagaki and it changed me so much that it made me want to do comics instead (and also heavily influenced my art style). my first major comic project was HOLLOW-HEARTED LIFE in 2020, and my first completed comic was COW'S HEAD, which i somehow managed to complete over the course of just under a year in 2022. i don't have the free time to work on that much that quickly ever again, but i'm happy i got to finish something. in 2024 i worked on GOREHOUNDS for a bit, and my current major project is SILLY WORLD. between all of this i've been doing work with Zeriq and the Bunny Team on the Tales of The Bunnyman series and other games by them. i've also been drawing fanart/original character art on the side.
as i've grown older and my worldview has changed and developed, i feel as if my work has grown more abstract in nature. SILLY WORLD is a good example of this-it's a bit of an abstraction/mashup/abominable blend of scene, my gen z view of what the hell the word 'silly' means to me and a pinch of old cartoon nonsense. as of now i find myself with an interesting view on life-everything matters but also doesn't. but i think we should all be very conscientous of how the things we do and say affect other people, even (especially) online. i think we should all be nicer to each other. this could quickly improve the world.
i wanted to put my everything in one place so i made this website. it is my second time working with html to build a site (first time was with my GOREHOUNDS comic) and i think it can be quite fun (if a bit frustrating at times). i hope my work can make you happy or at the very least make you feel something.
